hoping someone can tell me what might be going on… according to both opk and the app I am using I ovulated about 8 days ago. Yesterday I had EWCM and today after going to the bathroom there was a giant glob (thicker than EWCM) on the tissue. I have never seen that before and dr google is not helping me. We are new to TTC so I am not sure what to make of it! Has anyone had this before?

I have this every month the day before I have EWCM but I’m not sure how to classify it either. Sorry that’s not helpful – I’m hoping someone else will be able to provide more info!

kes18 : I am not charting and temping just using the Flo app and it agreed with the results of my opk so it is likely accurate. O would have been on the 16th.

kes18 : We are trying a few months NTNP so the OPK was mostly because it is my first cycle after IUD so i just wanted to see what was going on.

yegchuck : Some people get EWCM more than once in their cycle.
Had you BD’d lately? Is it possible it wasn’t EWCM but BD fluids?

MsGinkgo : Nope, Darling Husband works out of town. He was home during my FW but has been gone for about a week now. It is also very different then my normal EWCM…a little bit of a brown tinge and really thick.

yegchuck : Do you have normal cycles then that are the same length each time? A positive OPK doesn’t guarantee that you ovulate. So I think there is a variety of possibilities- possibly didn’t O earlier but are gearing up to O now, it’s possible to have a secondary estrogen surge during your luteal phase and so you might see some increased CM during this time, or if you are pregnant you can see a big increase in cervical fluid. Of if you had sex last night could be semen? I would think it could be any of those as an option. Just record it in your app if you’re tracking
