Really interesting artical on CNN regarding the cost of being a Maid/Matron of Honor these days.
I know when my BFF was married in Vermont this past September, it was upwards of $2,500 by the time I was finished paying for flight, hotel, dress, shoes etc.
Anyone else having Maid/Matron of Honor issues due to increasing costs?

Seriously I read this article and its rediculous!! I am very very very careful on what I’ve asked my girls to pay for – their dresses thanks to netbride were only $115 – they can wear what every shoes they want. I’m not asking them to have their hair or makeup done. My family will be hosting a brunch shower so there will be no crazy high tea anywhere. As for my bachlorette we are going to do a wine tasting weekend but to save costs were all sharing a hotel room and I am paying for my share (no exceptions despite what my friends say!!) we’ll be going out for a modest dinner. My Maid/Matron of Honor is my sister and she has been awesome about ideas to cut costs. I want my friends to be there for my day but I want them to be able to make rent too.
