What are the cocktails? And is this something you want to do? If you’re only doing ’cause the venue suggested it, why bother – one less thing to worry about!

@Beans85:  I agree with PP.  But if you wanted to name some cocktails, what kind of drinks are they? What color? I like the “Bubbly Blonde” !

Ok, Bubbly Blonde recipe:

One champagne flute, coat the rim in lemon syrup, dip in sugar, fill with chilled champagne and garnish with lemon wedge

  • Gimlets are really old school, and if you do the Bubbly Blonde with lemon, the lime is a nice counterpart to that.
  • 2 oz. gin or vodka
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 oz. simple syrup
  • Garnish with a lime

@Nona99:  For an even easier and classic Gimlet, just use gin and preserved lime juice (like Roses) and skip the simple syrup.

It’s one of my favorites, and it started as a “health” drink of the British Royal Navy!

@Nona99:  I’m such a cocktail nerd it’s stupid. I’m currently hand-batching my own bitters (its that bad)
