We’re having the ceremony and reception at the same location, with cocktail hour in between. With 120 people (italian) wedding I have a large antipasto table and passed appetizers. Are the passed appetizers a must have? I am trying to cut costs as well as not have too much or unnecessary amounts of food.
Am i being cheap, or is ok to cut the passed?

I would be fine without passed apps as long as the table is a good size. And I have the same background as you (Italian family in SW Connecticut).

I think as long as you have an ample amount of stationary places throughout (so not all on one table), you’ll be fine. Spreading the food out forces people to move so they may mingle more. Plus you get rid of traffic jams of people trying to get at the food!

Thanks! I like the idea of breaking the table up a bit and spreading it out around the room with the main table of meat and cheese in the center

My venue set up sounds the same as yours. We also opted out of the passed apps. Jut have enough found on other tables and you should be fine. 🙂
