sapphire89 :  I’m not sure that it’s really necessary, to be honest. Your guests will be drinking cocktails (assuming you’re serving alcohol), eating, and socializing 😊

People will be happiest to have some food and drinks and NOT have to do these things.

sapphire89 :  cocktail hour isn’t the time for unique – people are going to want to get a drink, eat some food, say hello, and use the bathroom. at most, you should have your guestbook accessible for people to sign. but there really shouldn’t be time for much else – afterall, it shouldn’t be more than an hour.
