No traditional reception here: just finger foods, alcohol, wedding cake, and mingling.
We don’t want Kenny G/Michael Bolton/Celine Dion type of music… but since there won’t be a dance floor, LMFAO and Kesha won’t exactly work either. What music did you have playing if you had a cocktail reception?

We went with light classical/light pop played by our string quartet – the idea is you want music to truly be “in the background”!

Not sure what you’re into, but we’re big fans of lots of genres of music. We’re having a traditional dinner reception with a DJ, but for our cocktail hour, we’re having a live bluegrass band. It’s one of the things I’m most excited about.
