MLDoddie –  I have used two fake hydrangers flowers for the base- took ages to wire all the brooches but hardly anytime to put together using the fake flowers.

I have also made pearl bouquets for the bridesmaids. I started off using a styrofoam ball but it didn’t look good and I ran out of pearls so I just made them free hand upside down in a bowl in order to keep a round shape.

@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie: Omg!!! this looks amazing!! You have done such an amazing job!! I too really want to make a brooch boquet but like you I am under a tight budget and was almost about to give up my dream of having one. I think you have very cleverly found a solution!! Are they really all cocktail rings?

Just out of curiosity, what is the rough diametor of each ring? Did you you communicate with the ebay vendor through email only? phone or both?

Also, Im in Oz so I hope shipping wont cost too much… either way, Im totes excited that this can be a reality again 🙂

I had mine made after I tried to do it myself and messed it up, I used rings in mine too – great alternative if you don’t have enough brooches – and yours looks gorgeous!
