Guys, who puts coconut oil in their hair? And who works out daily? How are you supposed to put the oil in clean hair if your hair is literally never clean before you wash thanks to working out? I don’t wash my hair everyday but sometimes use dry shampoo. I really don’t see the oil being effective with dry shampoo+ sweat. Nasty post!!! HAHA

I work out 5-6 days a week and wash my hair just as much. That said, I use cocomut oil in my hair at least twice a week. Since I work out after work, I usually work out, rinse off in the shower but don’t wash my hair, put the coconut oil in my hair overnight and wash it out in the morning. This has really helped the condition of my hair since I am constantly washing it and styling with a straightner.
For reference, my hair hits at my bra strap on my back.

llcoolray: I workout everyday but i do not wash my hair every day. If I workout and my hair is totally sweaty and gross I wash it, but if not I either rinse/not wash in the shower
I also dont use coconut oil every day- if anything i do a mask once or twice a week. Maybe rinse your hair then put the coconut oil in it then wash out later? I dont think sweat would repel the oil tho

Workout every day, coconut oil once a week.
I have very oily skin/hair and I also work in a lab with high humidity so my hair gets pretty nasty pretty fast. I usually end up taking two showers a day (morning after gym and then after I get off work) but only actually shampoo my hair once a day (morning). The only difference is once a week I’ll shampoo my hair during the second shower also and then apply the coconut oil afterwards and sleep on it.
I also use Aussie’s 3 minute miracle in lieu of conditioner (still leaving it on 3 mins) a couple times a week since I color my hair.

llcoolray: I don’t ever put the oil on my clean hair, only dirty hair. I wash my hair twice a week (maybe 3 times if something special is going on) and usually put in the coconut oil the night before it’s due for a wash, braid it up in a bun and sleep on it before washing it out the next morning (I don’t use conditioner if I used the coconut oil overnight) before I go to work… My hair is very thick & down past my bra strap. Even when it was down to my booty the coconut oil has worked wonders leaving it in overnight…
