So, I will be going to pick up my dress weeks week or so to keep at home until my fittings. I will obviously try on the dress again, but I can’t decide who to take. 4 bridesmaids and a step mother have not seen it, should I take all of them or am I allowed to be selective??? I would prefer just my 3 closest bridesmaids, one of them has been a bit distant ever since I asked her to be bridesmaid.

@BabyBrain: You’re the bride, you get to make this decision! 😀

Who to take with you to pick it up? You don’t need to bring anyone if you don’t want to. My mom was with me when i picked it out and she bought it for me. I picked it up and brought it home by myself a few weeks later when it came in. I didn’t even consider bringing anyone with me to pick it up, because it may be exciting for me, but can’t imagine it would be for them. So i just brought it home, tried it on, and put it back in the bag. Easy peasy!

@BabyBrain: I that yet another job that bridesmaid have to perform, going to pick up a dress? That just seems–excessive.

@FauxPas2012: they don’t have to if they don’t want to. When I pick it up I will also be trying it on, so I have asked them – my bridesmaids know that anything they don’t want to do they don’t have to. I just know that for some of them they are excited to see it becUse they weren’t there when I bought it. I didn’t ask for an opinion on whether or not they had to go, simply if it is rude to not Uninvite everybody I feel I should

@BabyBrain: You get to decide. But do so knowing that you can be perfectly polite, and still have people be upset.
You have to think about what happens if this 4th BM finds out she has been intentionally excluded and creates drama. Is this something you want to deal with this close to the wedding?
