@ihavethemusicinme:  I’d just stay moisturized as much as possible. That means drinking lots of water, too.

A girlfriend and I discovered that she was getting wrinkles from studying when I wasn’t, but after watching one another, it’s because of the faces we make while reading and the positions we were sitting in (law school has TONS of reading = tons of time for wrinkle-making).

This will sound weird, but maybe check out your face randomly in the mirror during the day (are you furrowing your brows from stress/worry/just your regular face and don’t know it?). Also, bring a hand mirror in your bag when you’re studying and then attempt to check your face out as it is while reading. Knowing how to catch yourself making faces that lead to wrinkles may help you retrain your facial muscles to be more relaxed and prevent future wrinkles.

Don’t wrinkle your forhead when you put on mascara! I noticed myself doing this and I stopped even though it is annoying.

Wear a high SPF every single day. Never go tanning. Stay very moisturized and hydrated. I’ve found a good alpha hydroxy acid can help my skin look fresher/younger. Lots of people have good luck with retinols. I personally use Alpha Hydrox products which are available at Ulta and online.

Moisturize moisturize moisturize!

And don’t forget to drink plenty of water and get enough sleep.

Since you’re on a budget, check out the Olay line of products.  If they are still too expensive, look for coupons on magazines and the Sunday paper.  I see them all the time for Olay.

Follow what the other bees said but also start using retinoids NOW. They are the only thing proven to diminsh lines and prevent wrinkles. Start with a product containing retinol which is less harsh than retinoids. Use it at night, usually every other night, but increasing as you age. Wear sunscreen and sunglasses to prevent squinting. I’m 23 and getting little forehead lines already. It sucks. But as my mom says, aging isn’t pretty but it’s better than the alternative.

I believe you! Law school gave me horrid forehead wrinkles!   I’m 25 now and I have a super scrunch forehead.  I talked to a doctor and he told me light Botox would prevent it from getting worse and could percent future wrinkle.  So now I get light botox (15 units) in forehead every 6 months!

@ihavethemusicinme:  Check out beautypedia.com. It has reviews of lots of different products. It’s run by Paula Begoun. She has her own line of products, and I do use her BHA.

Alpha hydrox often runs some pretty good sales that are advertised via email: http://www.neotericcosmetics.com/e-specials-and-coupons.html

If you’re on a budget, then I’d focus on a high quality SPF. That will make the biggest difference for you moving forward.
