My mom once sent me a box full of the most random things… I can’t remember what all was in there, but I remember there was a package of balloons in it. Being easily amused, that was the best thing ever. I blew some of them up and batted them around the room, and I had one that I would blow up, and let go so it would fly around the room.

Cash! lol. And a blanket. I always feel more at home with a cozy blanket. My mom always sent me random stuff like cleaning supplies and tissues, which is stuff I would never buy but enjoyed having when I needed it.

I had a bulletin board in my room and loved keeping pictures of family and friends up on it, but I always needed push pins! Easy Mac (the little individual containers), Ramen, instant soups, rice cakes?
Be careful with chocolate or cookies with chocolate. Sometimes it will melt while in transit. When my friend was in Iraq, we would send him cookies double bagged, then suck the air out of the bags with a straw which helped keep them from moving around too much and helped prevent melting.

Poor girl. I remember breaking up with a long term boyfriend during finals week, that was a horrible time. I think just getting the care package in general would cheer her up alot.
Also, when I moved to Ohio from NJ my sister-in-law made me a “Jersey Box”. She decorated a shoe box with the lyrics to a song and pictures of things about NJ, then filled the inside with little momentos, such as, a travel brochure, shells, pictures on cards of NJ related things, pocker chip frame (AC), and other items like that. Anytime I get homesick I take it out and look through it. Just an idea 🙂
