I wish we had the same system as the US in the UK.  I did one thing, all the same.  And now I’m looking at jobs abroad it’s a major disadvantage.  I really would have loved to have done more history. 🙂

Loved: Drama, Modes of Reasoning, Life in the Universe

HATED: Women studies.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a feminist but there are many types and my prof totally rubbed me the wrong way.  She sought to humiliate her students rather than critically pointing out what she was trying to teach.  She called me selfish for hogging presentation time because I was carrying the workload of the two other people in our group that suddenly dropped her course.  She was an avid man hater and spent much of her time bashing men rather than arguing for women. Her son was under house arrest and she brought him to class and let him lay his things over chairs, his MSN blaring but at the same time, literally YELL at anyone entering her class late or anyone else taking up more then one seat.

The professor really did the movement a huge disservice… totally makes/breaks the class.

Well I am a Chemistry PhD student, so of course I liked (most) of my chemistry classes!

Loved: American Classic Cinema, History of Rock Music, Inorganic Chemistry

Hated: Quantum Mechanics, Physics, Linear Algebra

It’s funny though, as a grad student I know teach undergraduate level chemistry classes (general and organic) and it’s a whole different world on the other side 🙂

@mrsbruff2b:  JEEZ, that sounds horrid!!!  I’m a historian, not a women’s studies prof, but I study the history of women and I PROMISE most of us aren’t like that!!

Since I’m a historian, well…yeah, I liked my history classes. 😛 Some more than others.

These are from college, not grad school.

My faves: History of women in modern America; History of Sexuality; Intermediate Acting; Intro to Photography; Medieval Tales (Comp lit class), geology

Least faves: Medieval History (the prof sucked), anthropology, cognitive science.  But even my least favorites I didn’t HATE. I was lucky to go to a school that generally had fantastic professors.

Hated: Chem (mostly because my prof was terrible), History – I always get stuck taking the most uninteresting history classes.

Loved: World Regional Geography, Comparative Mythology, Sociology, Statistics, Geography, Speech, Buisiness Law, there are more I just can’t remember my entire 6 years of college on the spot.
