I have had about 6 of these. The worst part is the prep, however since I have issues “going”, it feels good to be cleaned out. I have never had any issues with the procedure itself and have had numerous biopsies. They give you sedation for the procedure and when you wake up you feel like you have been on vacation and had a great sleep. That by far is the best part. 🙂
Sending good thoughts and vibes to you.

My father had colon cancer young so I have gotten several colonoscopies. I always feel light headed in the morning after the prep so I make sure to bring some white peppermints to suck on just in case.

It’s all over and I’m back home now vegging out. You were all absolutely right that the procedure would be easy! It really was like taking a nice, deep nap. I was still nervous going in though and they had to keep an eye on my vitals for a while to make sure my heart rate came down before they got started, lol! The prep didn’t do as thorough a job as the doc would have liked (Probably because I threw up a bunch of it a few sips away from finishing the second round. That stuff truly was the worst part by far.), but she was able to see well enough to tell that everything looked ok visually. She did biopsies too and I’ll get those results in a week or so. Thanks again to you all for the support!
