SO. Not engaged yet, but SO and I are already planning out wedding details out, since we know we will be having a very short actual engagement (less than 6 months) and want to be ahead of the game. We both know its coming, so we see no harm in starting early. If you DO see harm in that, then just please do not comment. Also, if you are here just to say “Don’t worry about it yet. Don’t start planning until there is a ring,” then please don’t comment as well. Because we are planning, and that is that.
Family has already told us we can use their beautiful land to get married. And our church allows its members to sign out tables and chairs to use for occasions/parties at no cost, so we had been planning on using those for our wedding. I already bought my four bridesmaids dresses in this beautiful style (I got them on maaaaaaajor clearance and couldn’t pass them up. I love them!)
(not my photo! But it is this same exact dress)
I want my wedding colors to be Sangria (the color of the dress), Blush, and Gold. I LOVE the Sangria and Blush together, and then I love the metallicy gold for accents.
But this is where the problem comes in. The chairs that we would be borrowing from church are regular silver metal folding chairs. They have navy blue cushions on the seat and back.
If my girls were in these dresses, with blush tablecloths and gold accents around the place, would those silver/blue chairs completely throw off the whole vibe?
We have a budget of about $2000 total, so renting chairs is a 10000000% last resort.
I mean, I guess I could change my colors to sangria, navy and grey/silver so that the chairs don’t throw off the whole shibang, but I don’t get as good as a vibe with those colors as I do with the blush and gold.
So, any thoughts or ideas you care to share? Thanks, yall!
