I’m two months away from my wedding and extremely behind on a few key items, specifically the wedding party attire. I have just about gotten everything squared away but my fiancé is throwing a major monkey wrench in my plans. Our wedding colors were planned to be black, red and platinum. My mom has purchased a platinum dress, my bridesmaids will be in black dresses with red shoes and the groomsmen will be in black tuxes with red vests. I sent my loving fiancé to secure the his attire and he got (has set his mind on wearing) silver instead of platinum! He’ll officially be the only one in that color and now I am trying to think of ways to tie him in to the color scheme or ensure that my mom doesn’t look like the sore thumb in a different color. I had thought about wrapping the bouquets in silver so that the color is present somewhere else and possibly wearing silver shoes to match him but I cant think of any other ways to fix this. Can anyone provide suggestions?

I don’t think you have to incorporate the colour else wear!
Just like you are the only one in white – he can be special and the only one in silver!
It allows him to stand out a bit more – I like it!

your mom is not going to look like a sore thumb! different shades and tones of the same color offer interest and contrast. i really think that you’re overthinking it. everyone will look great together! 🙂

No one will EVER know it was supposed to be otherwise unless you tell them. Let it be and don’t stress about it. They both will look amazing and definitely like they belong!

Like the other posters have stated. I really don’t think you have to worry about it. I think it will look very put together, even if that wasn’t the original plan.

Definitely don’t worry about it!! No one will probably even notice the difference between the colors. It sounds like everything is very cohesive, so definitely don’t stress about this!

i like it better with your Fiance in silver so things don’t look all matchy matchy. different shades of the same color provide depth and texture to the over all look.

Thanks ladies. Guess all the coordinating is starting to get to me. I think I’m going to go with the silver shoes and silver wraps on the flowers to bring in the color a bit more and hope for the best 🙂
