Dear friends,

We are getting closer to the date of our wedding, and now the time came for the bow tie 🙂 By fiance will wear an elegant black suit with white shirt, and at first we wanted to get a black bow tie as well, but today I came across with a lovely handmade bowtie 100% silk and I am in a big temptation to convince my fiance to wear it)).. The problem is: it is pink)) or more like orange, it is hard to say which color.. And the back side is beige.. What do you think?
And most important, my dress is the VW ombre blush pink, so I thought it would go good! But the tones of the colors are ittle bit different..
I will appreciate your help!

nevestulka: Gorgeous dress but hell no to the pink bow tie!

nevestulka: I think you should remember what Duncan says. The groom is not an accessory to the bride. I would have him wear a classic tie with his suit.

I personally don’t like the bow tie. Some guys love bow ties, so it’s ultimately up to your Fiance, but I know mine wouldn’t wear one in a million years. Let him wear what he feels most comfortable in.

Personally, I would do a coloured bow tie, but not pink. If he really wants to do black, then he should, but you can risk looking like you’re trying to make a Tuxedo out of a black suit. Of course, black suits can be tough to pair colours, because ordinary colours can sometimes look almost neon next to black. I’d personally something dark, and matte, like burgundy, with gold, or white small dots/stripes, or something herringbone. Light blue could work too, if it’s not shiny. When I say matte, I still mean silk, just not satin.
Alsoyes totally get a self-tie (which I think that one is?). It makes a way bigger difference than you’d think, and it really only takes half an hour to master it. It’s actually the same knot you use in your shoe laces. The slight asymmetry is nicer, plus at the end of the night he can untie it, and have it hang around his neck. Or, as my mom calls it, he can “go Sinatra.”

If you like it then yes…
There’s nothing wrong with matching ensembles, isn’t that what most do for their weddings?
Personally though its not my taste

Duncan: yes, this one is a self-tie! and I really like it how it was when you just put in around your neck, each side different color.. But yes, probably not the best match..

I also found such (the black-white) recently, do you think is much better? but that one is pre-made one..
A black and white pattern is a nice idea, but I don’t care for the border on that one, myself. It looks a little novelty to me, tbh. Plus those both look like pre-tieds, and I can’t endorse pre-tieds. 😛 Grey/white, or grey, is also a good idea.
