I used ColorBox.  The "bad" reviews you read are probably from me – LOL.

The photographer I used for my engagement shoots was Andy.  I actually walked into their office knowing I wanted only Andy to shoot my photoshoots/wedding even before I met him, because I was referred to him by friends.  I even had him sign the contract to make sure he came on that day.

Another photographer showed up instead, and Andy insisted he signed the contract on behalf of the company, but did not mean he would be the photographer for that day.  I was extrememly upset, especially since the freelance photographer he sent was…ummm…not who I wanted (I’m refraining from cursing here!).

All the times I went to ColorBox, I never once saw another photographer.  Honestly, I think Andy is the their only official photographer, and they hire freelance photographers when they overbook themselves, because I am not the first person they did this to.

Bottom line, the pictures came out decent.  But their shadiness is what makes me not want to recommend them to anyone.

I wouldn’t use them.  I’m surprised to hear they’re still around as their website no longer works.  They have a "D" rating on BBB because of a complaint against them that they never responded to.

Andy’s pictures and albums are beautiful and the price was really reasonable.  But they became really flaky when we tried to hire them, saying that they couldn’t "guarantee" that Andy would be able to make our date because he was not sure whether he wanted to stay in this business.

I can give you my photog’s contact info if you want someone in the same price range.
