- Wedding: September 2013
I am planning a very casual rustic style wedding for early September of 2013. I love the idea of burlap and lace with mason jars and woodsy accents as far as decor. And I am using sunflowers and white daisies for the bouquets. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing dark jeans and long sleeve button-up shirts (without ties or vests) while the bridesmaids will be wearing tea length sundresses. My fiance’s only request is that we incorporate a little bit of camouflage into the wedding as he is an avid hunter. He has already picked out the shirt he is going to wear, it is mostly black with some camouflage on the shoulders and down the elbow. I am unsure of the dress I will be wearing but it will most likely be all white or ivory. We agreed not to go overboard on the camo, we don’t want camo to be the main “theme” and we don’t want it to look tacky so we decided that the guys would wear a solid color shirt with a camouflage belt and have the girls in a solid color dress with a camo sash. I was thinking of using brown and green pulled from the camo and maybe white as our main colors. I am just really uncertain on how to go about coordinating the guys with the girls, the camouflage is kinda throwing me off a bit. Should the shirts and dresses be the same color? Also I don’t want it to look too dull, would the sunflowers add enough pop of color? Would it look right to have the bridal party in brown/green if the groom is in black? Any suggestions/opinions would really be helpful. Thanks!
