- Wedding: March 2011
I’m not much of a design visionary, but I still want my wedding to be memorable for being slightly unique, but not over-the-top different. Here’s what I finally came up with for wedding party attire.. I want to avoid the matchy-matchy. I would love some feedback on my choices:
Girls are choosing their own style of dresses from 5 designs I gave them. They’ll be midnight blue with their own black shoes.
Guys will be in their own white button-down shirts, grey vests with a slight pattern, black pants, and their own black shoes. Then they will have midnight blue and grey bow ties with the groom in a regular tie. They will have a pocket square instead of a flower, but I don’t know what color yet (maybe some other wedding color).
Will these colors all look good? I don’t want too much matching… also should the guys all have the same bow tie or just find their own in those two colors?
I’m also thinking about getting my fiancé to wear a light blue shirt instead of white. In this case 3 girls will have pink bouquets and 2 will have light blue ones, rather than all with pink. (I got these at Micheal’s for $3 and they look real!)
Thanks for all your input!
