Wedding Date December 18th, 2011; Laguna Beach, CA.
Ive already bought my dress Midgley & Sottero Margaret in Ivory.
Impulsively bought the Flower Girl dresses, loving, how they were the same material and bubble style as my dress, at the time our colors were purple, teal, charcoal. I loved this teal. Pictured Below. Since then, we changed our entire wedding venue and decor. The decor will be RED and its other natural European garden setting. Picture attached.
I would love to use these Flower Girl dresses, but wont feel too bad only losing out on $35/each.
My current wedding color scheme is simple Charcoal, Red, Pearl/Ivory, but was recently thinking if I could still incorporate the Teal with the Flower Girl Dresses and maybe some other odds and ends.
Pictured in Red and Grey are the Bridesmaid dresses that I am considering for my 4 Bridesmaids. Leaning more so toward the Grey, Red or Ivory Rose Bouquets.
Any thoughts are appreciated! Thank you!

*Shameless Bump* Anyone else?

it could work, but where else would you add teal? unfortunately it’s not a flower color.

I would go with the pearl/ivory and red with the teal and nix the grey.

You could still do teal, but I’d suggest getting rid of the charcoal as well, and adding in purple or yellow too. Purple would be best – because then you’d have colors that complement each other really well.

I don’t mind the pop of teal. I voted go for it.

If you keep the teal I would pull out the gray.

IMO (and I feel bad about this, but am giving you the truth about my opinion) – the teal just doesn’t match with the colors provided or the venue. You could take out the grey, etc – but then you’re TRYING to make it work, and I still don’t think it matches the venue.
Eeeeeh just giving my bee opinion!!!!!

I’d ditch the grey and do ivory/white, or purple, or a rich blue. Something that would make it more jewel toned would be best imo! 🙂

Yeah, somehow I wonder if you have too many colors…

I truly appreciate ALL your opinions, good and bad so please dont be afraid to express it! Thank you Bees!!!
I saw a wedding with Teal, Red and Ivory, and thought it was just awesome, fun and modern! The setting for the venue is a done deal, and will be just the way pictured with the bright red poisenttias!
If I need to ditch the TEAL its not a problem, was just hoping to use it!
Figured Ivory, Charcoal, Red is just so “BLAH!”

I feel like you need a pop of a “bright” color. Something brighter than teal, perhaps? A green? yellow? Doesn’t really solve my “too many colors” problem but it’s a thought…

Your setting is so natural that I think charcoal is the perfect compliment to your surroundings. If the red poinsettias are going to be there as well, well then cool. But I’d stick with your original charcoal/ivory and no red, to be honest. The red poinsettias already pop against that gorgeous natural background, and adding even more red might take away from the natural aspect of it all. Maybe if you incorporated more red flowers…but I have to be honest and say red dresses might be a little over-kill for my tastes. Really pretty setting though!!!

@KristenGotMarried: Exactly my thoughts/worry! I dont want the girls in red to take away from the beautiful backdrop/setting! So thats why I am leaning towards Charcoal/Black Neutral Dresses! Maybe with red pumps!?! My goal was to use a “Charocal” instead of the common Black! Thank you for your thoughts!! =)
