Ok, so I’m getting married this summer and I have gone back and forth with so many colors its driving me nuts. I’m hoping to get your opinions….
My Venue is very elegant but modern as well.
My bridesmaids dresses are black (originally I wanted gray but the dress that they all loved didn’t come in gray so we went with black)
We decided on Black chiavari chairs, I just love the look of them rather than the silver or gold.
Our linens will be white, my dress is white.
The guys will have black 3 piece suits.
….So our color scheme of gray and yellow just won’t fit right….
After going back and forth I know obviously black and white will play a big part but I really like Red as an accent color, for flowers, centerpieces, and a few splashes here and there. My florist has insisted he can still make it look “springy” and not like Christmas! (I over think everything!!)
Is red ok in the Summer? For a June wedding?

When I think of a red and black wedding, I think classy. So I think it will work!

We are doing red and white for our July wedding. And its not just cause we’re Canadians! I personally think its a tad bit different than a navy blue or pink wedding. Damask is overdone, IMO. Red is especially sharp with black and white. We left out black because we felt it too formal for what we wanted.
The color red is really what matters. Nothing too dark or pink tinged. My color came from a cherry red swatch from Alfred Angelo (look up cherry red on AA website). Cherry red is classy and sophisticated without being just ‘the norm’ for weddings. Hope this helps!

Red, black, and white is a fantastic color combination! (But then again, I’m a bit partial since its my color combination as well.) That combination makes me think of class and elegance. My wedding is in October, but we originally planned a wedding for April and used the same color scheme, so I think you should be fine. However, if you still really love the yellow and grey, I think you can still have yellow and grey in your black and white pallete and it will look lovely.

We did black and white and red with spashes of aqua/turqoise blue. We used a deeper red and black magic roses.

You can still do grey and yellow if you want, it still works with the black and white.
