We are having a July ’08 wedding, and need some help choosing colors…
The venue is an old temple, and the sanctuary is very cathedral-like- mahogany pews and stained glass. The ballroom is quite contemporary, and done in creams and light wood. The wedding will be at twilight and black tie.
Here are the options (for dark, light and redheaded bridesmaids!):
1) Grassy-green dresses with fuschia and cream flowers
2) Cobalt blue dresses with yellow/green flowers
3) Light grey dresses with fuschia/yellow flowers

I think they all sound beautiful….. I think I like the sound of option 1 the best! Followed closely by option 3.
One thing that might help if you’re equally torn between all 3 combos: look in your closet and around your house! I had such a hard time with my colors, because I wanted something that I’d enjoy in pictures for years to come but I didn’t know what that was and I kept getting tired of the color scheme of the week that I had chosen. Finally I looked in my closet and around my apartment, and the answer was everywhere. I wear tons of blues, teals, and greens, and my living room is made up of all the same colors. Once I settled on my colors of teal and chartreuse, I knew it was the best option for me and I still haven’t gotten sick of it
Remember to choose a color scheme that not just looks pretty for one day, but that represents your taste and style (and will for years to come)!

i think grey is 1- trendy (which could be good or bad) and 2- possibly clashes with the cream/ brown settings you described. im partial to #2 blue myself since thats what we picked for our BM dresses, but green would also look good. and miss cupcake is SO right about looking around your apartment for inspiration. we struggled with colors, then did just that- everything is brown and blue, creme and gold, with bursts of hot colors. so that is what we picked!
