Hello fellow bees!
I’ve used this site more times than I can count searching for ideas and finding out anwers to all my wedding related questions, but this is the first time I’m posting so I hope that all the helpful responses I’ve seen in the past will happen here!
My fiance and I are getting married in October (LESS THAN 4 MONTHS. WHAT?!) and we’re at that stage where we’re looking for the groomsmen attire. My girls are wearing peach Donna Morgan dresses seen here (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/donna-morgan-jessie-twist-silk-chiffon-dress/3131802?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=Beach+Glass&resultback=570&cm_sp=personalizedsort-_-browseresults-_-1_1_D) and I have no idea what to match up my fiance in. Mr. Fox is a pale dark haired blue eyed (swoon) man who has a dark short beard. That being said, with his coloring I don’t think a light tan suit or the light gray suits I’ve seen all over pinterest will be the most flattering on him. And hey, he wants to look his best too!
So ladies, what in the world can I do? I really don’t want to do chocolate suits either, and he really wants to do the traditional black tux. Is there a way to make that work? Or is it just going to look funky. *tears out hair in frustration*
Picture would also be GREATLY appreciated!! And thank you, thank YOU for all your help!!

@MrsFox13: my colors are navy and lavender.
BMs – navy dresses
GMs – black tuxes with lavender vest/bowtie
BRIDE – white dress
GROOM – black tux with white vest/bowtie (so he stands apart from the GM)
i think black tuxes will work fine. can you match the BM’s dress color for the groomsman’s vests, groom should wear white accessories.

Black will be fine.
My girls wore navy dresses and the guys wore black tuxes

@MrsWBS @ajillity81 thank you ladies!! I love the idea of the navy and blue, they’re definitely complimentary! I’m just so worried the black will be so stark again such a light romantic color! But hey, the more votes I get saying it’ll be okay.. the happier I’ll be!
@ajillity81 – I LOVE YOUR IDEA OF WHITE VEST AND BOWTIE! That is so classic!

@MrsFox13: I think a darker charcoal grey would look awesome on him

Do the groomsmen have to match?
Ours aren’t and I actually like it so much better. Being all matchy-matchy is way too prom for my taste. Just have your Fiance wear the traditional black tux like he wants and coordinate his groomsmen to what he’s wearing.
Example: Groom- black tux, white shirt, white vest, white bow tie/regular tie. Groomsmen – black tux, white shirt, black vest, black bow tie/regular tie

I put my groomsmen in black tuxes with black vests (ties coordinating somewhat with Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses) and my husband wore a black tux with a white vest and white tie. It’s classic and it goes with everything, if you need a fallback. 🙂

I found these on Google (I really can’t be bothered with work today)

Have you seen the charcoal Vera Wang Tuxes at Mens Warehouse? We used them and I thought they were very flattering on the guys. Our colors were gray and yellow, so we just did yellow bouts for the guys to tie in the colors.

@MeiFrancis: hmmm, I didn’t even think about a darker charcoal gray! Do you think that wouldn’t wash him out? Think typical irish skin tone haha!

@IzzyBear: I AGREE!! I’m definitely digging the groom standing out from the rest of the boys! We have such a small wedding party (3 for each of us) that I think it’s important he’s got a different look! I love the idea of him in all white accessories with the other boys in classic black.

@RECrerar: hahaha love it! You’re fantastic and right in my line of thinking for today! 🙂 … These pictures are perfect!! I’m kind of digging the bottom one .. their dresses are definitely towards that peach more than the coral side … are those suits navy or black?

@Westwood: definitely will check them out!! Thank for you the suggestion (especially attached with a brand!). I was so tempted to do the yellow and gray but my sister being a bright bright red head just can’t do any yellows! Have to have her looking good too 🙂

@MrsFox13: No, I don’t think it would wash him out at all!
Is his coloring sort of like this?:

I voted for black only because you stated that’s what he really wanted to wear, but if he’s not that set on it, I think charcoal suits would look great.
