I think either of those choices are good. I wore black when I was a bridesmaid and I loved it. It was super chic.

Take a step back and see what you’d like for decor. Do you want mostly black and gold or would you like more colour. You could include blush flowers with either one but burgundy would be more colourful.

burgundy bridesmaids with blush flowers and gold shoes would be so lovely in the fall.

I love the idea of burgundy bridesmaid dresses. I think the color mixed with touches of gold, blush and even navy would be stunning!

I’d actually avoid making blush a wedding color if you’re wearing a blush dress.  You are not a bridesmaid; you are the bride.  You do not wear a wedding color, because you do not blend in.

Black and gold are neutrals: you can pick any colors you want and it’ll look great.  Personally we did grey and gold and I didn’t pick any “colors” beyond that (though we did have grey napkins).  This allowed the florist to get colorful with her florals, which I loved. 🙂

cameobride :  let him wear black, but tell him gold has to be incorportated another way – decor, bridesmaid dresses, etc. but i wouldn’t have him in a gold vest…colored vests with a tux are a bit prom. if he’s in black, you can do burgundy for the bridesmaids, or gold (have you seen all the gold sequined dresses around?!?), and blush and burgundy flowers go well with both.
