MackenzieRaelin:  Not really a color combination I’d thought of before (but to be honest, I don’t pay much attention to colors really) but I am very drawn to your idea of Champagne & Navy!

MackenzieRaelin:  I like your first two options best. I think that the grey with pink accents could get too heavy really easily. And I’m with you on the purple. It doesn’t seem to go with the vision you described at all.

I’d bet a lot of money your fair skinned blonde bridesmaids will not want to wear champagne dresses lol I think they would look fab in navy dresses, maybe with champagne ribbons on their bouquets. The guys can be in either navy or black tuxes with champagne detail. I like the navy idea… probably could do navy with light grey and light pink. oo i think i just fell in love with that! lol good luck lady!

The thing about color schemes is that it really is all about what YOU want. You like certain colors, others don’t, and that’s okay – so you really have to pick the scheme for yourself. I think you really want pink/grey because you put it twice in the poll. I’ll give you some color palettes for inspiration. Here are the ones you noted in the poll:

with black (why not do grey suits if your colors are pink and grey?) suits instead of khaki, obviously, but very similar.

and this is kinda want your mom wants.

SO, after all that, my point is that most color schemes, when done right, look cohesive and nice. It really depends how you use the colors. Here’s some other schemes with light pink to consider:

And no, don’t worry about clashing with the car.

MackenzieRaelin:  I voted champagne & navy, because those are our colors (plus a eucalyptus-y green). We also have the same wedding date, so I just had to!

    Good luck!

MackenzieRaelin:  I aree, purple and pink together, nahhhh

Your wedding theme and the feeling you want to have sounds alot like what mine is. I went with gold/champagne and blush pink, you should check that out! BMs are wearing blush pink chiffon and Groomsmen are wearing navy suits with brown shoes. I wouldn’t worry about being so matchy matchy, I think we all get tied up into it and think everything has to be 1 or 2 colors. I am adding accents of light shades of green. Good luck!

What is your venue like? I had initially wanted blush, ivory, and gold, but our reception venue just was not going to work with that color pallette. So I think more information is needed to give you good advice.

Have you seen “the big wedding” with Kathryn Heigl? I always thought that pink and purple would be off, but that movie shows that it works so nicely.

My wedding is blush (pale pink) and navy blue. the pink is the romance, the navy is the elegance.
