So I am second guessing my choices for our colors…
Right now we are going with brown, green, and ivory…my original idea was to let the natural beauty of the location shine. Planned on brown bridesmaid dress, ivory flowers with lots of greenery, ivory table cloths with brown runner, lots of ivory candles….BUT then Future Mother-In-Law couldn’t believe that we wanted brown included in a wedding (FIL are Danish…very traditional!) so I’m questioning our decision now
Now I’m kinda wanting to make it more colorful but not bright. We are going for a classic, vintage-y feel.
Please share any and all ideas…only restriction is NO PINK 🙂 Oh and the wedding is June 26.
(check out venue here for inspiritation!)

WOW!!!! What a stunning venue! I am jealous! I think your color scheme sounds great, definitely greens! Maybe some brighter pops of yellow or orange (since you don’t like pink) would work too!

how about instead of brown, go with a carmel color, still close just not as dark

OMG your venue is GORGEOUS! Caramel would totally work, but… oh… maybe a little tiny pop of an orange or lavender… it’s stll a pretty neutral color but adds a little variety. Not anything stronger than a dusky purple cause… oh, your venue is just amazing.

thanks for all the compliments on the venue…i am super excited about it. my FI’s family has done many events here. i’ve only been once but going back next week to meet with the vendors.
what about this color of lavender? i’ve thought about orange but i keep thinking with brown and green it would seem more fall than summer.

Wow wow wow….GREAT location…The 1st thought that came to my mine was light purples. You don’t need lots of it, just small bits here and there but it would really offset the browns, greens, and ivory’s beautifully.

I love the idea of using shades of lavender and peach as accent colours! It would still look really fresh and natural, but with just the right amount of vintage pop. Here are some Snippet and Ink boards that I found that combine the colours with brown and green: 1, 2, 3.
Your venue is AMAZING, by the way!

I’d definitely consider a soft lavender color, or even a peach and a gold to accentuate everything.
Your color scheme is already beautiful, so I wouldn’t worry too much. And remember – it’s your wedding – not your FMIL’s.
