I ordered dresses from David’s Bridal in Oasis blue Yesterday (http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category_-49998973?&colorName=Oasis) because the reception hall told me they could match that fine. UGH. I should have brought the swatch first, because the color they have is actually more turquoise. I think the closest color I see at DB is cornflower (http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category_-49998973?&colorName=Cornflower).
Now I am stressing myself out over the difference in color. I know DB probably wn’t let me switch colors of dresses, which I hate because it’s taking them 8 wks to get my dresses in anyway, so you KNOW they haven’t done anything with my color… does anyone have any experience with this?
How do you think I can make this work? The difference is a noticeable difference but not an awkward difference (like teal and royal blue or something). It blends, but not exactly smoothly. Any ideas, in case I can’t convince DB to switch the color of dresses, which I’m definitely not banking on?

I would say don’t worry about it. It’s really not necessary for the bridesmaid to match the tablecloths! So long as the colors aren’t clashing horribly I think you’re fine to just let it be.

I would pick a different color for the table linens that compliments the blue instead of trying to match it. Use your centerpieces and other decorative pieces to place blue accents and I think it would be gorgeous. What are your other colors??

I wanted to either do the Oasis, Black, and Silver/White.
I just didn’t know if it would be too awkward to have tables that were white w/ black ribbons or black w/ white ribbons and blue dresses. I figured I could have blue accents on table & flowers to make up for no other blue ….
Does that sound do-able?

Here are some colors. Mine is the darkest blue; the other are 2 options at DB. The ribbon underneath is the table color.

I would think any of those colors would work and look really nice!

I think black table cloths with white ribbons and the blue for accents would look awesome for an evening wedding. If it is a daytime wedding invert the black and white. I would not do the blue on blue on blue–even though all shades are beautiful, it would be a bit overwhelming.
