I ordered dresses from David’s Bridal in Oasis blue Yesterday (http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category_-49998973?&colorName=Oasis) because the reception hall told me they could match that fine. UGH. I should have brought the swatch first, because the color they have is actually more turquoise. I think the closest color I see at DB is cornflower (http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category_-49998973?&colorName=Cornflower).
Now I am stressing myself out over the difference in color. I know DB probably wn’t let me switch colors of dresses, which I hate because it’s taking them 8 wks to get my dresses in anyway, so you KNOW they haven’t done anything with my color… does anyone have any experience with this?
How do you think I can make this work? The difference is a noticeable difference but not an awkward difference (like teal and royal blue or something). It blends, but not exactly smoothly. Any ideas, in case I can’t convince DB to switch the color of dresses, which I’m definitely not banking on?

What exactly is the reception hall trying to match to the dresses? Linens? If so, what are your other accent colors and can you use those colors in your linen choices? More info would help!

I wanted my colors to be the Oasis Blue, Black, and Silver/White (still choosing). The hall was going to do white or black chair covers & tablecloths, with a blue ribbon across the table and blue ribbons tied to the chairs. The blues don’t quite match; I’m almost wondering if the blues are overwhelming with all the ribbons, etc.
I’m trying to decide if white tableclothes/black ribbons or vice versa would look too weird with blue dresses. I would add blue flowers & blue accents to the tables; what do you think?

Here are some colors. Mine is the darkest blue; the other are 2 options at DB. The ribbon underneath is the table color.

I would think that it would be fine. Because are people really going to notice the difference in colors. The colors won’t be side by side . I would think that you could still use the colors they way they are. A lot of people just us variations in a color for their wedding. But if you think it would bother you and DB won’t let you change it I think going with just blue accent like in flowers would work great also.
