So after tons of wedding dress shopping I found the PERFECT dress and when ordering it, the salon owners and I talked about the wedding dress color; when you order “white white”, it looks like “davids bridal” type and if i went with pearl white of magnolia white it gave it a more “coutour” look. I saw dresses in each of the color and completely aggreed I did not want a “white white” dress, but still wanted a
white dress. I chose the Magnolia white and now my dress has finally come in and I’m WAY stressing and thinking its too off white. It has a pink undertone to it…I don’t want people to think I’m not wearing white…what do you think? Should I get the flower girls dresses in an off white now? When you look at the dress on it looks white, but next to a white white dress it is clear that it is not completely white. Am I stressing to much?? I hope this was a good desicion. Did anyone else go with a non-white dress?

My dress was “blush” and I stressed about the color SOO much. I didn’t get colored flowers because I was afraid they would make my dress look pink. But you know what? My dress looked white. I stressed out because my husband’s shirt under his tux was white. Didn’t matter. My dress looked fine. See?
You’ll be fine. It will look white. 🙂

Thank you ladies; I do LOVe that picture, I think I’m stressing more than I should be! I appreciate it! What color should I do the flower girl dresses? Keep them white? or a champagne color? Thank you

@mosher527 – Have you already bought white ones? If yes, then keep them. If not, and if it gives you more peace of mind, go with champagne ones.

Don’t worry about it. Nobody but you (and maybe your flower girls, I wasn’t sure if you already bought them white dresses?) will be wearing all white. Nobody is going to notice. It’ll be absolutely fine.
BTw, my friend wore a light gold dress for her wedding – I still swear by the fact that when she walked down the aisle she looked like she was wearing white. 😉 People will see what they want to see.

I’ve been stressing about that this week, and it’s been months since I ordered it! I think it’s cuz Mr. Parfait was thinking about wearing a white tux, and then I realized it would make my dress look like white. I think it’ll be fine—everything else (flowers, bridal party dresses, etc) will be bright and colorful, so they’ll offer a nice contrast.

I had a moment this weekend where I was having the “can the guys wear white shirts if my dress is ivory?” moment and ultimately decided I don’t care. I wouldn’t worry about it.
