I’m going to go for a light blush color, and my colors are blush, gold, champagne and ivory. I’m not doing it to match my decor necessarily, but it just matches my classic, understated style. I often have my nails that color anyway, and I wouldn’t do gold ๐Ÿ™‚

I defintiely wanted something classic that I wouldn’t regret in 30 years.  Definitely nothing trendy for me.  I went with a shellac called “Romantique” and I’m really happy about it!

@mylittleviolett:  I bet there is. I think I’ve had a gel color very similar to that before!

I’ve looked up ”reversed french manucure” on Google and I saw many that I liked. It could be an option.

I want to have something polished, because hands will show a lot in pictures (rings, holding hands, etc.). I also have to think we want black and white pics, so whatever I choose, it has to be lighter.

They sort of match my colors, but even if they didn’t I’d just be having a nude nail anyhow. I’m going to wear Essie’s Best Boy Friend.

Sparkle isn’t really part of our color scheme, but they’ll be sparkly

@Biglet:  Sorry, edit … It was shellac “Romantique” but I’ve used a very similar color from Essie which was “Ballet Slipper” if you don’t want shellac.

@loving_life:  I ended up going with the maroon nails – my favorites, and yes, they matched our maroon and gold color scheme ๐Ÿ™‚  As shown above, Bogota Blackberry by OPI (shellac, but also available as regular)

I did a light pink/nude color, which did not “match” our theme. I thought it looked really elegant and classy. ๐Ÿ™‚

dark red (fingers and toes), which was in keeping with my 1950’s vibe, but not my color scheme.
