Holy crap – i’d like to think i’m a fairly visual person…kinda artsy/craftsy, but the task of choosing colors for our upcoming July 2011 wedding is totally overwhelming.
Am i missing something – how on earth do you ladies do it?! What the eff is the process? Pick one thing and build around it?
The more googling and image searching I do the more my mind changes!!! Am i alone here?!!
The ‘maids’ will be wearing LBD’s, and i will be in ivory – i have visions of aqua, lime green & watermelon for our lake-front wedding. Then i totally flip, and like a light aqua blue, champagne and sage green. I’m slowly losing my mind over here…

Maybe you should figure out what type of wedding you want first (black-tie, formal, semi-formal, casual) then figure out what season you want it is.. the seasons should narrow it down significantly! Dark colors in winter, oranges and browns in fall, bright colors in spring and pastels in the summer.. I went with black and white because.. Well I always loved the black bridesmaid dresses against my ivory one.. It was pretty easy for me.. and once I picked a theme I did more research about it and got more and more ideas in my own theme and that really got me excited!

Venue, season and theme?
That is what helped decide mine 🙂
