It seems the top one would go beautifully with a champagne gown (at least if the colors are showing true on my monitor) and the second might be alright.. but the colors might clash. It’d be difficult to tell without seeing them together in person!

Desert- Holly is custom making my shrug right now to match my light gold gown.  I think she can do whatever you need.  She’s been great!

I think of the two options, I like the first shrug better with your gown.

I like the top one best to go with your gown. I need to find one for myself since my dress is sleeveless. Any ideas where I can get one?

DesertChild- You can see my dress on the first post of the "Show us your dresses" thread.  It’s Sophia Tolli Dolce, and we specifically designed this shrug keeping in mind that when I put this on, I’d be removing the train of the dress, so we echoed some of it’s elements.  I think my favorite part is the little feathers!  🙂

We started working on design on April 1st, and I received the finished product last week (1st week of June)! We discussed ideas, I sent Holly swatches of my dress and train and showed her pictures of my dress.  She then sent me some pictures as suggestions to pull elements from.  We discussed a base fabric and she did the body of the shrug.  Then, we exchanged ideas again about embellishments.  She did a mock up flower, we had a few more decisions to make (including my suggestion to put some sparkly elements inside the center of the flower) and then everything happened really quickly from there.

She surprised me with the feathers, and I’m just completely in love with that element.  I really couldn’t be happier.

If anyone is planning on working with Holly, please let her know that I sent you her way:)
