- Wedding: February 2014
Well, it’s a good thing we are having a two year engagement because I must have changed my mind about everything and its mother half a million times already!
We’re having a winter wedding, so I steered away from bright mixes of colors since they weren’t really “wintery” and also didn’t match our venue – I didn’t want to have to do too much decorating to mask any color differences, so I picked maroon and gold since those colors already went perfectly.
But… I just don’t like gold! It seemed like a good idea at the time but everything I find looks great in silver but the gold versions just look tacky and cheap to me. So finding decorations was super frustrating… until I came across a picture of this beautiful colorful bouquet and decided to do a little revamping!
Purple, maroon and some pink shades ended up going really well together with silver. And still looking reasonably matchy to the venue. I didn’t have to scrap too much of the stuff I’d already bought since I’m keeping maroon, but it’s opened up a whole new world of awesome pink, purple and silver! (Did I mention pink is my favorite color?)
I’ve spent hours playing around with pictures and my mad skills at Microsoft Paint to come up with this new plan…
Probably do the ceremony here…
Ta da! I’m pretty pleased and just felt like sharing. Anyone else change their mind during planning?
