I’m getting married July 30, 2011 at My Old KentuckY Home in Bardstown, KY. I can’t decide on a color scheme! I have narrowed it down to a peacock feather theme with brown tuxes and teal dresses with purple bouquets OR a more bright color approach with reds, pinks, oranges, and yellows in the bouquets; grey tuxes and maybe canary dresses….it will be an outdoor wedding just before sunset. Any suggestions?

The Peacock and the brown might look too much like fall colors. How about if you do the peacock colored bridesmaids dresses with tan suits for the guys and orange flowers? I think it would look better then better then teal and brown and purple bouquets.. just a little too much color going there.

I think the peacock thing has been done soooo much that I don’t like it anymore. I agree that it looks like fall colors too. I think you can do so much more with decor with the bright colors. Brighter colors are very “in” for 2011 too. Be fun! Be daring! But most of all, do what you want to do.

teal, purple, black, no brown.

I actually love the idea of the pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows! The combo would be really pretty and perfect for the Summer! It doesn’t have to look like Fall colors if you’re careful about what shades you pick.

We’re doing Tiffany Blue and Chocolate Brown as an accent color. But we are wanting our wedding to have a relaxed feeling.

I like the gray tux/canary Bridesmaid or Best Man better than the peacock personally.
We are doing blue with silver and white accents
