I didn’t vote because my answer is in between. I love the kelly green idea. I also like the choice for your bridesmaids; they might actually get to reuse a black dress. The only thing I might suggest changing is the green shoes. I think a green belt with black shoes might look more classic. I tend to play things in the fashion area safe usually though.

Have you tried playing around with an inspiration or a color board??  It might help to visualize everything together.  Also when I hear green and silver and ivory all I can think of is Slytherin, so I can’t quite picture it…

I definitely think the white (or ivory), green and black would look very classy but also fun and perfect for a summer wedding. I am doing white and green flowers and love how they look. The black dress with green accents would look awesome and then the white is easy to pull in from your dress and the flowers, and the guys can wear green. I think its great! I am just not sure about the silver, seems to be out of place but you could make it work. If its just on your dress then it shoudl fit especially if you wear other silver jewlery and add a little bling 🙂

@kitakitten:  The link you sent looks great!  I guess I was imagining a darker green.  Glad you have settled on your choices, though!!

As Klingon as it matches your venue – I had brown white and red venues but picked blue purple silver colors it was bad and clashy

@kitakitten:  I am glad you guys figured it out and that will be a nice color combo. I really like the lighter green with the pink and ivory. It will be very romantic, classy, and great for summer.

For our flowers we are mainly using white roses, white dahlia, babys breath, green hypericum berries, and baby green hydrangea. For decor she is going to use some white larkspur, green bells of ireland, and some others. We are also throwing in a touch of blue since thats my Bridesmaid or Best Man dress color.

@kitakitten: She didn’t really give us any mock designs but I showed her my inspiration and she suggested those flowers so it will look similar to some of these with the texture and colors.

Those flowers sound really pretty! Just make sure they are in season with the florist before you set your heart on them. I found one I loved and it ended up being hard to get and was expensive so I had to forget about it.

I’m using that color scheme for my winter wedding. I think the key is to keep everything understated since green is such a powerful color.

To me it does seem a litte bold, it may look like theres too much going on for any wedding. Maybe drop one of the colors? or consider different shades, like.. the bright green, ivory and grey (opposed to silver) that way you can still use silver accents without it being too over whelming on the eyes. Just a suggestion good luck!
