Our wedding ceremony will either take place under several oak trees or under a gazebo by the lake. Our reception will be indoors with floor to ceiling windows with the lake behind. We’re having the worst trouble picking out a color scheme!
This is the original vision:
We wanted emerald green, peachy orange, black, and gold as our colors. The main problem I’m having is identifying the right green for dresses! I intially thought that Jade from David’s Bridal and Alfred Angelo was the right green, but it is much too tealy. I’m not sure if Kelley from David’s Bridal will work. I have several girls out of the state or city so I thought sticking to David’s Bridal would be useful for them, especially because I have a lot of bridesmaids. Does anyone have any idea what green is the closest to this emerald color and where I can get the dresses?
If not, any other color palette ideas? I have also been considering light purple or sage green, or apple red as the primary color, but I love jewel tones so much more and green is me and FH’s favorite color!
We’re planning on having Manzanita trees for our centerpieces along with some books.
Thanks so much!

I would look at Bari Jay for bridesmaid dresses. They have a lot of color options and styles. (Plus they’re everywhere.)

@BookwormBride2Be: Have you looked at http://www.theperfectpalette.com ?
You can scroll down on the right, click on a color you love and see the palettes they have developed using that color.

I had issues with the yellow from David’s bridal. I liked the colors from Alfred Angelo better!

You could always find a nice emerald dress from a regular store (anything from Kohl’s to Modcloth to Macy’s to Forever 21…) of your choice. Emerald is Pantone’s 2013 color of the year, so you’ll be sure to see lots of it in stores. 🙂

Dessy has the color PANTONE Emerald which is GORGEOUS! It wasn’t out yet when we ordered the dresses for our wedding. I wanted Navy and Emerald but settled for Navy and Apple Green (their color Appletini)
We ordered through the No Frills program with RK Bridal and the dresses were less than it would have costed my BMs at David’s Bridal. Including alterations, none of my girls went over $160.

@MrsCDMcC: thanks, I even thought I had found the guys outfits too but they are not available in Europe. Maybe they might be available by the time I need them.

First of all I love your inspiration boards! I went with Donna Morgan dresses, but they currently are selling an emerald color- not sure if it is too teal.
also Eden bridesmaids had a hunter green color too:
