Hi All, we are getting married May 24th of this year. Having a very small wedding, max guest 15. Torn between color scheme though. Love plum, purple, and ivory. Also love coral and turquoise. Which would be best for time of year? Doing a short lace dress and my fiancé and son will be wearing matching outfits. So color is really for flowers and their outfits. Oh also doing an outdoor wedding. All help is greatly appreciated!

thats pretty much spring almost summer i would say coral and turqoise. Also that other color scheme is very rich which would go better for an indoor wedding.

@katiecrabtree: Just pick what you love. You can use any colors any time of the year so you are not restricted to either palette.
You might want to think in terms of availability of flowers at that time of year. Lilacs would be perfect with the plum and ivory palette.

I think coral and turquoise is more fun, more spring, more outdoorsy. When I think spring I always think some variation of green+pink. Purple, ivory is more indoors and formal and doesn’t really match a specific season.

That is my birthday! I think either colors sound nice. I’d just go with what you like.

i think purple can look really summery too…. I’d search for photos of weddings in the colors you like and see which one really stands out as being ‘the color’.

amberback: Old thread. She should’ve been married last month.
