Hi Ladies!  I’m new to WeddingBee too, and a future CO bride!  We live in Germany now (working for the US Government here) and since our family and friends are spread all over the country we figured we could have it anywhere, so we decided on a snowy winter wedding in the mountains.

I actually posted earlier today asking if anyone had venue suggestions for a place with a grand fireplace where we could have a ceremony for about 75 people, so if anyone knows a place, let me know!!

Yay, hello Colorado ladies!

I’m originally from New Jersey, but have lived here since second grade!

I grew up in Edwards/Vail/Avon area (did two short stints in Leadville and Grand Junction), and have been all over the greater Denver area since 2007.

I am getting married in Larkspur, CO, a tiny, tiny town that I love. It’s where FI’s parents live now and just down the road from where he grew up: Sedalia.

I’m just a Jersey girl marrying a cowboy 🙂

@allyouneedislove:  We were going to have it at a country club, but have decided to hold the rehearsal dinner there instead. Now, we’re holding it at a 75-acre private ranch and I couldn’t be happier!! Oh, and the ranch is usually used as the site for a non-profit/charity, so the money we give them for renting it out will go towards that! Makes me feel even better about my wedding 🙂

Hi Colorado folk!  I’m now a Texan but lived in the Denver burbs as a kid (and my little brother went to Mountain Vista – class of ’08).  Anyway, got to return to the roots for a wedding of course, so I’m getting married in January in Winter Park at Devil’s Thumb Ranch!  I’d love to hear about winter wedding plans – I’ve enjoyed perusing http://www.utahbrideblog.com/ for some gorgeous winter rustic wedding looks.  I’ve lived in Houston for 8 years now and miss some snow/seasons!

katybee:  Boetcher Mansion….check it out.  Its near Evergreen, and its GORGEOUS.  WE had too many guests to use it, but the inside has a big fireplace and a cozy stone cabin vibe.

I’m having ceremony and reception at the Lodge at Mackenzie Place, they have a beautiful ski lodge feel (with fireplace!).  Check it out if you are still looking!

@DachshundDoc:

I <3 the Devil’s Thumb Ranch and a winter wedding was my dream!!! Unfortunately, we had to move it up to summer to accommodate travel plans for the families, but that’s okay.  You will absolutely love that venue.  It is featured pretty often on the Couture Colorado Wedding blog – check it out, if you haven’t been!
