Personally, I love the trend of adding suprises of color on your wedding day.  Sure, it’s super trendy and will one day date you.  But that’s the fun of wedding photos.  I think your dress will look fun with the peek-a-boo of color.  I say go for it.  You seem really excited about the idea.  I can just imagine the exciting photos you’ll get because you have that little bit of surprise under there.

i am making my own crinny,  and making it in yellow. no need to dye it i just bought the yellow fabric.   my dress is champagne gold,   so i didnt think purple would go with that colour,  the fabric has cost me £10 but so worth it to get exactly what you want.

Please excuse the threadjacking, but I posted about using a crinoline with my dress a while back and didn’t get a lot of responses so I thought I might have better luck if I join in here 😉

There’s the dress. I feel like it’s designed to be worn without a crinoline and I don’t want it to look weird but I would love to have a pop of purple underneath. Thoughts?

you still can have that pop of purple,  but it could just be a long slimline slip,   doesnt have to be a crinoline with lots of tulle ,  but if you want tulle,  just use a little bit of it and dont make it puffy.   or use organza which is a lot softer.
