SafariBlue:  that’s so awesome! I wanted a blue diamond for my e-ring, but when I showed the jeweller he was appalled at the thought of using man-made diamonds. I wish I didnt cave to his pressure!

Are the diamonds really sparkley? Are you really happy with them?

caligirl0011:  Plenty sparkly, IMO.  I imagine, due to the color saturation, they don’t sparkle as much as otherwise comparable colorless diamonds would.  The more saturated the color, the less white light return, so the amount of sparkle will diminish the farther you move towards the dark end of the color spectrum.  The stones I have are in the light to middle range of blue and I’m very happy with the way they perform.  I can’t really speak for how they compare to colorless diamonds, though, because I don’t have anything to compare them to.  I posted a full review of them here, if you’re interested:

I absolutely LOVE my brown diamond ring! I designed it myself, picked out the most beautiful diamond and had it set in a 18K gold bezel setting, with halo.

I love how the brown diamond really glows like it has a fire inside and the colourless diamonds around give sparkles in all imaginable colors! In Sweden the gold has a more copper than silver in it and is therefor not as yellow as in most other countries. The brown diamond makes a perfect match with the gold!

My fancy light yellow solitaire and the wide band has j coloured diamonds. I love the fancy colourged diamond but I’m considering changing the setting. Id love to set the bezel a little higher and to add a white diamond halo on a plain white gold shank and keep the bezel yellow gold as is, it’s been dipped in rhodium. And id love some milgrain around the bezel to pretty it up.

MrsKDW:  Ohh okay, that makes more sense now. It was irradiated for the color. Very pretty!

MrsKDW:  Yours was irradiated? Is the colour different now from when you bought it? I bought a colour treated pink diamond from eBay 6 or 7 years ago, it was a pretty pink for a few months then the pink faded and eventually it was champagne. I had no idea that would happen and I was super sad about it so I sold it.
