I don’t really know why but I always feel a sense of sisterhood when I see a fellow girl with a colored stone lol
I think the second ring you picked is a great compromise!
I am a VERY indecisive and obsessive person, and took my worries to a new level when deciding for over a full year about what engagement I wanted to wear for the rest of my life. I always thought that I would have a princess cut white diamond solitare. I literally got the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted and I LOVE it. My fiance and I had some SERIOUS engagement ring drama and could not find anything we liked anywhere. All the white diamonds we had seen at every chain store were of poor quality and over priced. I couldnt be happier with my green diamond, art deco ring! Our last name will be Green and my ring couldnt be a better representation of our life together. Colored diamonds also have meanings associate with them and green is symbolic of new life, rebirth and renewal. Every time I look at it, I remind myself of how far my fiance and I have come, and how each day is new day in our life together. I never thought I would have ever wanted a colord diamond, but I absolutely love it and have no ring envy of non-colored rings. Trust your gut or take a chance. You wont be disapponted!
I ended up going with a colorless diamond, but I love looking at gemstone and colored diamond rings.
So what ring did the OP end up with in the end? Inquiring minds want to know!
My DH didn’t want me to have what every other woman did, so he purchased a very rare padparadsha sapphire for me. People have made rude comments about him “cheaping out” on it, but the joke’s on them because this is worth way more than a diamond is!
