Thank you! I am so happy with the way that it looks and the fit and the color 🙂 It just needs to be shortened and taken in at the top and shortened since I’m 5’0″. My Fiance is a little concerned since my 5 year old told him my dress was “very pink and sparkly”- I think he is thinking a bubblegum pink Barbie ballroom gown lol

Color dresses are beautiful! I ended up with ivory, but I seriously considered getting one in blush. I absolutely adored the Maggie Sottero Divina gown. Blush just didn’t match with the way I had envisioned everything else color-wise for the wedding, so I went with ivory instead (Allure Romance 2601). If you want a blush, gold, etc dress, go for it! You’ll know if it’s truly right for you. Even if you are worried about it possibly looking “dated” years down the road, remember eventually everything about weddings today will become dated. What’s honestly so bad about that? I never understood why that’s necessarily a “bad” thing myself.

samira86:  I love them! Fiance really wants me in a shade of white, so I’m going that route, but otherwise I’d be strongly considering it. Vera Wang makes some of my favorite colored dresses.

I wore a predominately black gown. There are some very unique, customer made dresses at Wedding Dress Fantasy in Teaknek, New Jersey. I was inspired by this company, but went another route to have a dress made. Here is the link if you want to take a look http://www.weddingdressfantasy.com/.

I am definitely pro colored dresses! Wear what you most want– you won’t have regrets.

I wore light gold with ivory l lace. I’m all for whatever the bride wants. I actually don’t think I even tried on a white dress. But I will say I would have worn one its just the light gold looked really good with my olive skin.

samira86:  Generally, I’m not a fan of colored bridal gowns, for the reason you stated: it’s your only chance to be a briiiiide, and wear that beautiful white dress! You have the rest of your adult life to dress up in different colored gowns!

That said, I rarely notice the slight bridal color variations that people discuss like ivory, off-white, and sometimes blush fits into that category. To me, those are just shades in tne white family that help to compliment different shades of brides!

My sister wore a blush, ombre gown and looked every bit the bride. I often forget that her dress wasn’t white. I think maybe the blush was at the bottom, and it faded to ivory at the top? Idk, it was gorgeous.

My dress is not white, it is champagane. I have always been one to go agaist what others do and thats why I didnt go with a white dress.

I will be wearing a blush dress and I don’t think I will regret it. I tried on a ton of white dreses, because I was of the mindset that when else will I ever be able to wear a white dress, and that it was more bridal, but all the while I was secretly pinning blush dresses. The day I got my dress I tried on numerous white lace dresses, one of which I thought was the one. The consultant said she wanted to pull something else that she thought reflected my personality better and came back with a blush dress. I tried it on and that was it! I still felt totally bridal, because it is very ruffly and not at all something I would wear in everyday, and comfortable, because its true to who I am. Go with what you feel the best in and you will never go wrong!
