I never thought of this, but I guess I already do it. I never paint my nails and I have a diamond…so I guess clear goes with clear? I hope someone posts examples, this sounds neat.

I have a blush pink Morganite center stone. I think it goes well with any shade of pink, red, peach, coral, cream, gray … and I’ve never liked other colors like blue, green, etc on my nails anyway. So, I don’t really try to match, but I always will anyway. πŸ™‚ Luckily my taste extends into my wardrobe as well and I have very few articles of clothing that I feel won’t coordinate well with my e-ring. And now I won’t buy anymore.

I have a blue sapphire and surprisingly, lilac looks ferosh with my ring!  Here’s a really bad cell phone picture.

It’s funny you say that because I totally thought about this when we first got engaged.  πŸ™‚  Luckily it matches most shades of burgundy which is my favorite color.  (My ring is dark garnet).  It was pretty cute…right after we first got engaged, my fiance and I went to the drug store and spent about 5 minutes picking out a perfectly matching color.  Turns out it didn’t actually match, but it was a cute idea.  πŸ™‚

Well, I have a pic from the day or so after we got engaged.  And coincidentally (or not), my nails were the color they normally are.  πŸ™‚

@mandigrl04: There are a whole lot of awesome blue colors!  Though  I think you can also find all kinds of nice colors to compliment blue.  πŸ™‚  Purples, reds, oranges (if you’re one of those awesome people who can pull off orange)…but, yeah sometimes it’s fun finding the colors that look nice together.

I don’t bother matching my polish to my garnet–I just wear whatever color (or colors) I want. Just for kicks, here’s one of my favorite manis of all time–I have small hands, and the angled tip really helps to elongate my fingers.

Mint green polish tends to make the garnet “pop” the most, though, from what I’ve noticed.

@Mrs Grape:  I love how your ring finger’s tip perfectly aligns with the pages of the book! Was that on purpose? πŸ™‚

Peach Sapphire and Rose gold!! I’ve found the best deal is to go with french nail Shellac! Shades of pink tend to make it look more yellow. Still struggling to find rose gold jewelry to match for the day of πŸ™

I have a clear diamond, but OPI Black Cherry Chutney always seems to make my ring stand out more and sparkle like crazy!
