Peaceoutboyscout: Gorgeous color! The cut is spectacular!
TaraMay_: Beautiful! Love the blue!
thelibrarylady: So refreshing! I don’t see many green sapphires. Beautiful ring! I never pictured a diamond either! So many people are perplexed by my ring since it is colored and say “it can’t be an engagement ring.” But I love it!

Mine will be coming in tomorrow, and I’ll post a photo of it on my finger then. It took me six months, three of which we’ve already been engaged for (I’ve been wearing a “temporary” one, my “real” one is arriving tomorrow morning, thank you Fedex) to decide on a ring. For now, this is the website picture. It’s an aquamarine and diamond split shank ring, from Blue Nile. I went with aquamarine as it’s beautiful and happens to be my grandfather’s birthstone (we’re quite close, he raised me for most of my life). My wedding band will also be white gold, but will have black diamonds. It will also kinda match better color-wise with my fiance’s wedding band- black stainless steel with three blue diamonds, and I wanted our rings to be different, but still sorta match.

bunniebee: That is beautiful! The raised setting makes the aquamarine pop! What a sweet idea. That meaning behind the stone makes it worth sooo much more!
svnnh09: I love the non traditional rings too! I have been getting very mixed eedback about my ring since my engagement (9 days ago) about having a colored stone. Some people look so confused that it is not a diamond, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I was curious who else had colored beauties and I am clearly not alone! That morganite is gorgeous! It is vintage meets modern meets romance.
