MarmotaLinda: I think I’ve only posted my ring once before, your ring is beautiful, I just love amethyst, it’s my birthstone and purple is my favorite color so I feel like I’ve gotten something very special.
cdohertyx3: Thank you!
All these rings are gorgeous. The pop of color is what really catches my attention when it comes to jewlery otherwise I really don’t pay attention to them.

This whole thread is actually just too much to handle. I always disliked gem stone engagement rings till I saw my SILs gorgeous London blue topaz engagement ring. Now I LOVE them!

mrsb616: thanks Fiance has amazing taste 🙂 for me a gemstone ering was the only thing I considered. Diamonds just don’t pop for me. I live the sparkle and shine they have but there’s no po . Ya know

mickeyratz84: wait, I need all the details on your huge pink diamond and why it didn’t cost an absolute fortune lol. I’ve never heard of a huge discount being given on a large, fancy deep pink diamond.

After six months of trying to decide what I want and having to have a temporary ring for three months, I got my “real” ring today!!!! It’s so beautiful. Aquamarine, my favorite stone and my grandfather’s birthstone.

sumshine.dawn: In that photo your ring is looking like a GIANT Paraiba. Drool.

Garnet with rose cut diamonds – setting is from 1900’s, it is a rhodolite garnet – more raspberry in color than pyrope garnet, which are the deeper red. Garnets come in other colors too. it was his birthstone.

GemmaBella: Thanks! I like to play this game of “things that match my ring”. My most recent discovery is pink champagne, from an anniversary dinner!
