The color varies from a deeper blue to a lavender/periwinkle but I can’t always capture that glow in pictures. There’s something about those car photos on sunny days (I learned about that as a longtime weddingbee lookie loo). I did pick my polish to match my stone though. :-).

I have an iolite stone and I love it, I do worry about the longetivity of the stone.  But I loved the purple tone of the stone more than a sapphire.

I always told Fiance that I thought the idea of using his birthstone in an engagement ring was sweet and romantic.  Sappy me thought it’d be nice to have a little piece of him with me.   

   I lucked out and his birthstone (blue sapphire)  is nice & high on the Mohs scale!      He liked the idea that we’d have something different and a little more ‘us’. 

 

 

All these pretty colours are making me swoon! ๐Ÿ˜€
