Ooh. I love that bracelet!

I don’t have a photo of it on me, but back when we were dating, my husband got me a beautiful opal ring that I wear on my ring hand pretty much every day. His birthstone is an opal so it was a very sweet thought in addition to being a lovely ring!

Don’t have it yet but I’m hoping for a non-coloured but still semi-precious/gemstone ring! Yay white topaz! I’m a November baby but yellow doesn’t suit me.

@blingbling:  Ooh, interesting — I’m not sure if I know about all the different kinds of opals! But yes, that is why I like mine, too, and why it works for an “everyday” type of ring. It’s got a great fire and works with just about any outfit!

Gorgeous bracelet!  I’ll play.  I have a ruby and a pink sapphire.

I’ll play! I’ve never posted this, but it’s my tanzanite promise ring. Darling Husband gave it to me when we were 19 and 20, and I proudly wore it for years until a few months into our engagement, when we got my e-ring. It’s a half ct of tanzanite, and diamond accents between the tanzanite. I love it! It’s in the box now, but I might start wearing it as a RHR.

Thank you for posting this board. I’m glad we can move on and just look at how pretty everyone’s jewelery is.

I WANNA PLAY! I don’t currently have a picture, but I’ll be sure to take one tomorrow when there’s light out.

My all time FAVORITE piece of jewelry (sorry promise ring) is the ring my parents gave me for my Quinceanera. It was my mother’s e-ring and a family heirloom. Its a beautiful opal set in a halo on a thin gold band. I had coveted it for years when it was my mother’s and now that its mine, I treasure it and intend to pass it along to my daughter. Its even more special because it was one of two rings my grandmother had to give to her sons and opal is my mother’s birthstone and diamond (in the halo) is mine. It like this one ring ties together my whole family.

Bling bling i LOVE that bracelet!

Here’s a picture of my absolute favorite sapphire necklace that one my old coworkers brought me from Tuscon. She brought the other girl a string of black spinel.
