We’re using white linens. We didn’t have the money in our budget to rent napkins. I say if you have money in your budget for colored napkins go for it.

I did navy linens (floor length, not overlays) with a cream runner and cream napkins. I had 12 tables (all with runners), a head table, a cookie table, a gift table, a guest book table, cake table and 100 napkins which i covered for $400 (which I didn’t think was too bad!). I didn’t cover the chairs (I rented chairs). If you have the budget, I would go for it, I really thought it made a difference (i only have a picture of the head table linens – but maybe that will help!)

We did irridescent orange linens with a white underlay. I loved the way it looked:

What are your wedding colors? We used moss green linens with ivory napkins. Our colors were purple, orange, and red so the green of set them so it wouldn’t be too much. They went well!

@lindseyl06:  Can you use the ivory linnens that are included with the package as an underlay to the black?  This would give you the length and it would not be full ivory so your dress would stand out.  I, personally, love the idea of black linnens at a wedding.  I would do black and red if I had seen the combo before.

And you can cover teh chairs with a black cover, ivory sash to tie the colors together.  Your BM dresses (if not picked) could be a simple black dress.  It can be a monochromoatic theme!

White linens come with the reception hall but we wanted more color so we rented the light blue overlays, kind of expensive but I think they will be worth it. We are also renting white napkins.

Having seen a photo of your venue…I’d go white linens. The carpet and walls are very bright…If you bring in more color it will be too busy and it will be too much on the eyes.

If you do white linens go for a nice tall floral centrepiece which will draw the eye upwards. You could do white chair covers as well and have a sash in a color from the carpet…..you could also do orange/yellow toned flowers. That way it all goes with the room without competing….and that way you wont blend with the room!Laughing

have you picked your wedding colors?…if you have, what are they?
