My mom is a manicurist, so I’m always playing around with nail color.  I think colored tips would be totally fun.  One of my favoriate nail combos (especially for my toes) is doing a white tip (like french tip) but then lining the bottom with a red strip.  Then maybe you could do a black flower design on one of your nails.

I had bright red nails on my wedding day and they just made me so happy 🙂 I totally don’t think you need to match your flowers – keep in mind you’ll only be holding your bouquet for a fraction of the entire day, so don’t worry about making sure every little detail coordinates. Have fun with it!

@Ladytron:I agree.  Go with a red that you love and that you like on your skin.  We tend to get so caught up in the details when wedding planning, but I don’t think you have worry about that one.  And as Ladytron said…you’ll only be holding that bouquet for a part of the day.

Red nail polish is kind of my trademark so I will be rocking it on my wedding day for sure!  I think it makes a bold, sexy statement, and it will really pop against the white dress.  🙂

Just thought I’d share one of the pics from my wedding day that really highlights the red on white – so fun!

@Ladytron: Will do!  I think I’m addicted to WB!  I’m just having so much fun being a part of this online community.  I’ve only been reading for a few months, but I’ve been so inspired by the bees.  My DIY project list more than tripled after discovering this site!  🙂

I think dark red would look gorgeous!  I might even be tempted to do black.  I was a bridesmaid once and our dresses were red with a black sash, and I painted my nails black.

I think it’s fine if you don’t want to go the “match the flowers” route, either.  My bouquet was white and purple, and my nails were hot pink.
