I cannot decide on whether to buy a bunch of colored towels in brown/tan or white….
Big decision here..

I vote for tan or gold. White towels are never truly white no matter how much you bleach them.
Agree with
I love white towels. HOWEVER, I am married to a man, so we have cream colored towels that match our bathroom, and he uses the dark brown towels we had before we renovated the bathroom.
I HATE colored towels. Besides, why would you want to NOT see the dirt? i want to see it and wash it!
my towels are white and i love them 😀
See, I’m on the other end of the spectrum – I feel like you can bleach white towels to keep them white, but my colored towels always end up ruined because they get bleached out by face products and stuff like that. But maybe that’s a problem that unique to my house 🙂 Also, I feel like you can change out decor in your bathroom and white still goes with everything.
I love white towels but with 3 boys in my house they are NOT a good idea so I vote coloured.
At the moment I have a caramel coloured towels.
I voted coloured. I’ve wanted white towels forEVER and we got a very luxurious set as a wedding gift….but they show every fuzz and the material has pilled and it looks awful. None of my coloured towels have ever done that so I’m not sure what the problem is but my white towels look terrible.
I don’t use chlorine bleach with my white towels, but I do use a scoop of oxyclean and wash my white towels on hot.
I feel like they get cleaner that way.
Colored towels just don’t work for me. Must be something in my face wash or makeup, but my hand towels always get odd streaking on them.
Before you all decide to diss white towels, buy a couple and try them out. I seriously also thought white towels would be a headache…actually, my new set of white towels (that I bought two years ago) still look as new as the day I bought them.
I’ve never had anything but colored towels, but Fiance uses some sort of face and body wash that bleaches towels so we have registered for white ones for him! I suppose it depends on your decorating scheme!
I bleach my cream towels all the time, because they’re a very light cream. I bought white ones originally, but DH didn’t like them.
I think one thing I don’t get with the “white towels show dirt” thing is that I don’t wipe towels all over my dirty body – I use them to dry off once I’m already clean! So this has never been a problem for me. As long as you get high quality towels, you also shouldn’t have a problem with pilling or anything. Mine still look and feel great.
This is the curtain causing the dilemma:
I hate basing a long purchase decision around one curtain. I have a couple hand towels in a color that perfectly matches the blue and I loooove the tone. But I can’t see myself getting 8 bath towels in it.
